From 11:59pm Thursday night, regional Victoria will leave its lockdown, meaning visitors can once more travel to Dinner Plain. We are thrilled to welcome back those who can travel. To make sure you are prepared to visit, please be aware of the following conditions in place to keep our community safe from the risk of COVID-19.
72HR COVID CHECK REQUIRED |
Like last time, all people coming to Mount Hotham or Dinner Plain will need proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. This applies to residents of the Alpine Shire as well as visitors. Once we reopen, checkpoints will be in place on both Harrietville and Omeo approaches to the alpine region. Entry beyond these checkpoints will require all passengers in the vehicle show ID and proof of a negative COVID test result. This requirement does not apply to children aged under 12 and exemptions will apply for staff and residents.
Test results are usually back within 24 hours and a test taken on a Thursday will cover the person to visit across the whole weekend.
SLOPE OPERATIONS |
There is good snow coverage on Cobungra Platter and full day tobogganing will operate daily (9am - 4:30pm) from this Friday. Cobungra Platter will be operating as a toboggan slope only for the remainder of the season.
DINNER PLAIN TO HOTHAM BUS |
The shuttle bus service between Hotham and Dinner Plain will return to daily operation from Friday to a varied Low Season schedule.
TOUR OPERATIONS |
Sled Dog Tours and Cross Country beginner lessons will return for visitor bookings by appointment. Please see www.visitdinnerplain.com.au for booking details.
CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAILS |
There is patchy snow on the cross country ski trails, best suited for beginner XC, snowshoeing or bushwalking. Grooming will commence when conditions allow.
